  Adult Grief Support Group
Waupun Memorial Hospital will be hosting an open support group for adults experiencing grief starting on Tuesday, March 9. The free group will continue to meet the second Tuesday of each month.  Meetings will be held in Waupun Memorial Hospital’s St. Francis Room, 620 W. Brown Street, Waupun, from Noon to 1:30pm and will include a time for informal group discussion. This is an open group where all those interested may attend. The UW-Fond du Lac Theater Department will present the drama “Rabbit Hole” from March 10th to 14th in the Prairie Theater, 400 University Drive in Fond du Lac. Show times are Wednesday through Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:00pm.  “Rabbit Hole” contains adult language and themes.  Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students. Shamrocks & Shenanigans will be performed by the Plymouth Arts Center, Friday and Saturday, March 12th and 13th.  The presentation is an Irish variety show, with music, jokes and Irish dancing. Howards Grove Rod and Gun Club will host its annual Smelt Fry, which will be held at Klemme’s Wagon Wheel, corner of Hwy 32 and College Avenue (County Trunk A) in Howards Grove.  Serving begins at 10:00am and offers all-you-can-eat deep-fried fresh smelt with french fries, coleslaw, traditional bread and butter, and a wide variety of desserts.  While there is ample seating for families, take-outs are also available.  A DJ will be providing music from 1:00 to 5:00pm.

Bring the kids and grandkids to discover the breathtaking excitement of flight at EAA AirVenture Museum’s Family Flight Fest on March 20th and 21st. From 10:00am to 4:00pm.  Your family can celebrate the coming spring flying season at this fun, interactive, entertaining (and subtly educational) weekend.  EAA’s Family Flightfest is included with regular museum admission: $8.75 for adults, $7.75 for seniors (age 62 or older), and $6.75 for children ages 6-17.  A family rate is also available for $22.00. Join the Fond du Lac County Audubon Society at the Theisen Middle School Auditorium in Fond du Lac from 10:00 to 11:00am when David Stokes, Naturalist, Humorist, and Educator, will share live frogs, turtles, snakes, and arthropods in a celebration of those with cold blood. Using songs and stories, sign language, and humor, we will examine those sometimes creepy, slippery animals that are certainly ready for spring. The program is recommended for school age children with parent supervision and adults of all ages. There is no admission cost, though a free will offering will be accepted.

Scott Kegley, Administrative Director of Nursing at Manor Care Health Services, will speak at the Fond du Lac Senior Center, 151 East First Street, at 9:00am.  Kegley will discuss some of the common diagnoses faced by people as they age, common treatments for those diagnoses, and expected progressions of these diseases and ailments.
