  Eden Volunteer Firemen's Picnic
The 56th Annual Eden Volunteer Firemen's Picnic will take place Friday, July 30th through Sunday, August 1st.  Enjoy carnival rides, games, refreshments, a fishing pond and more all weekend as well as free entertainment everyday.  Friday will feature a fish fry from 5:00 to 8:00pm and Oil Can Harry playing live music from 8:00pm to Midnight.  Saturday will have kids' pedal tractor pulls at 5:00pm as well as a washer box tournament and the Backhome Boys playing from 8:00pm to Midnight.  On Sunday there will be a parade at Noon and music by the Jerry Schneider Orchestra from 1:30 to 6:30pm.

  Sheboygan Area Garden Walk
The Sheboygan Area Garden Walk will take place at the Doris and Jay Christopher Farm and Gardens, W580 Garton Road in Sheboygan, from 9:00am to 4:00pm.  Tour 50 acres of varied gardens and ponds, including 35,000 perennials, an asian teahouse, working beehives and much more.  Admission is $10 with a nonperishable food item, or $12 without a food item.  Proceeds will benefit the Bookworm Gardens project at UW-Sheboygan.  For more information, call 920-457-4243.

  Breaking Bread Community Meal
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Ripon will host “Breaking Bread”  Noon to 1:30pm at St. Peter’s located at 217 Houston Street.  The meal is free and donations for the continuation of their initiative are appreciated, but not required.  "Breaking Bread" is held the last Saturday of each month.

  Plants that Eat Animals
The Friends of the Kettle Moraine invite you to the Kettle Moraine State Forest - Northern Unit for their next Summer Saturday Evening Event, “Alternative Lifestyles: Plants that Eat Animals." The program will be held from 7:00 to 8:30pm at the Henry S. Reuss Ice Age Visitor Center, located off of Hwy 67 one half-mile west of Dundee. The program is free, but donations are always gratefully accepted.

  Brat Fry
The Bank of Oakfield, 103 South Main Street in Oakfield, will hold a brat fry and silent auction.  All proceeds benefit Relay for Life and The American Cancer Society.
